“Comics have finally joined the mainstream… And today The Times introduces three separate lists of the best-selling graphic books in the country: hardcover, softcover, and manga.” Geeky but extraordinary.
What I don’t get is why does NYTimes focus only on American & Manga comics? There are tons of awesome stuff coming out of Drawn & Quarterly up in Canada, and French publishers like L’Association! A whole different paradigm of graphic novels altogether. It would be good to see how they rate in the lists.
