On Adobe on Subtraction.com An exclusive post from the Subtraction.com newsletter

When I blog about Adobe, I try hard to offer some added value rather than simply reiterating the company’s press releases. I’m not sure how successful I was at that in today’s post though, but that’s partly because I’m so enthusiastic about the news. In short: Adobe is launching a fund to kickstart design tooling innovation, and Adobe XD is now free for everyone. Free!

Working on Adobe XD has been a labor of love for the entire team, including me, but I’m not blind to the fact that some people remain skeptical. Suffice it to say though that I do all of my work in XD now—I even moved over all my design files for this site to XD (read: more changes to Subtraction.com coming soon). We’re building this app for the long haul, which means we’re building a true platform that will sustain us through all the ways design will change in the next decade plus. I really encourage you to give it a try, and if you do and have any questions, feel free to reach out to me directly and I’ll get them answered for you.

Cheers—from Seattle this time! More on that soon…
